A desk chair needs a flat rug. These are flatwoven with no pile to speak of, so the wheels roll and the chair does not catch. 5x7 and 6x9 are the sizes that fit most offices: desk, chair, and a little floor around it. Machine washable, with non-slip backing built in, so it does not travel when you push back from the desk.
